Singapore Travel Diaries: A Weekend in Singapore (Swiftie’s Version)

Singapore Travel Diaries: A Weekend in Singapore (Swiftie’s Version)

🎶I counted days, I counted miles. To see you there, to see you there~

It’s been a long time coming, but Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour is finally in Singapore and we’re taking you along on this enchanting experience 🥰✨

✈️ Arriving in Singapore

After a 45 minute flight (approximately), we arrived in sunny Singapore ☀️ The immigration process was fairly quick and we were on our way to the Changi MRT Station to head towards the city! 🚉 At the station, we purchased an EZ-Link card ($10) so we could easily pay for our trips around Singapore.

We saw some Eras Tour posters around the airport, so we just HAD to take photos. I mean, it's the reason why we're in Singapore.

🛍️ Buying Merchandise

Because we were a little kiasu (having a fear of losing or missing out), we immediately went to the National Stadium to hopefully get our hands on some Eras Tour merchandise!

We decided to queue at Stadium Riverside instead of OCBC Square as the line was much shorter, though even with a shorter line, we still waited for almost 3 hours before we got the merch 😭 While waiting, we started trading friendship bracelets with fellow Swifties! 💖

Towards the end of the queue for merch

When in Singapore, we have to eat something we can’t find in Malaysia. And that’s how we ended up at Popeyes for lunch 😋 By then, we were really hungry and tired, so we just went to the outlet in Kallang Wave Mall since it was just opposite the merch stands.

🍔 The Creole Burger Combo ($12.80) - a chicken burger topped with creamy creole sauce, served with large cajun fries 🍟 (or you can opt for mash potatoes), a biscuit and a large drink 🥤

📌 Location: Kallang Wave, 1 Stadium Place, #02-02, Singapore 397628

🎟️ The Concert

🕰️ As the clock ticked on, and the arrival of the much-anticipated evening began to creep in, we made our way to the stadium (again), our hearts brimming with excitement 🤗 During the train ride, we came across many other Swifties dressed to the nines ✨ We ended up making small talk and befriending some Swifties from Philippines and Hong Kong, and our small group spent the rest of the journey to the stadium together before we parted ways. It was fun getting to know them!

 Sabrina Carpenter!

As Sabrina Carpenter took the stage we were swept away by the electric atmosphere, with the stage and screen glowing with dazzling lights 🤩

Collective cheers and applause reverberated through the stadium as Taylor Swift graced the stage with her iconic entrance! 🎤 Taylor Swift effortlessly captivated the audience as she took the stage, as everyone danced and sang along to the songs we all know and love 💖💖 Time seemed to stand still during the concert, and all that mattered was the music and enjoyment that coursed through our veins.

🌤️ The Next Day: Exploring Singapore

In the morning, we went to The Shoppes Marina Bay Sands to check out the The Eras Tour Trail. The Eras Tour Trail consisted of distinctive installations of Taylor Swift’s eras displayed across Marina Bay Sands!

 📌 Location: 10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018956

Lastly, we explored the charm of Haji Lane – a quaint back alley that is home to many little cafes ☕, lifestyle shops, photo booths 📷 and vibrant murals. Haji Lane is definitely one of the most Instagrammable locations in Singapore!

Our mission was to visit a pop-up at Pixie Loft, a photo studio at Haji Lane. Curated by @blindgoldrush on Instagram, the pop-up was selling fan-designed merchandise inspired by Taylor Swift and her albums. However, our enthusiasm was a little dampened as the space was crowded, and some of the items we eyed were already sold out.

And that concludes our short, but fun trip to Singapore! We hope you enjoyed reading 😆
